Harbourview Tairua accommodation is a great place to stay; a spacious and comfortable one- or two bedroom apartment on the ground floor, each with its own bathroom and deck. There's a separate lounge/kitchenette, with fridge, microwave and toaster, which opens onto a sub-tropical garden with dining table, 6m swimming pool and BBQ, and of course our incredible views over the ever-changing tidal Harbour to Mount Paku.
And Harbourview Tairua accommodation is the perfect location for exploring. The world famous Hot Water Beach and Cathedral Cove are just 30 minutes away; Whangamata, Whitianga and Thames are 40 minutes' drive and Coromandel Town just 75.
There are free off-road parking spaces, and we offer free WiFi.
Tairua is a treasure too. The long, dune-backed ocean beach rivals any on the Pacific coast and is famed for its magnificent surf and golden sand. Mount Paku dominates the horizon as well as offering amazing views from the summit. There's a thriving community, with excellent restaurants, cafés, galleries and shops, lots of great walks and cycle tracks, a golf course – and year-round fishing. Harbourview Tairua is just five minutes' walk from the town centre. shops, cafes, restaurants and estuary beaches, and a short drive or 20-minute walk to the fabulous ocean beach.

About Us
Owners Jane and Chris moved into Harbourview in October 2016. After nine seasons of running a Tairua accommodation B&B for guests from all over the world, we are offering apartment-style accommodation in 2026.
Jane is from Auckland, her family arrived on the first settlers' boats from Scotland in 1842, and has mostly worked in Higher Education in NZ and the UK – and now also offers thesis proofreading and technical editing services to students, academics and businesses. Chris has been a hotelier, destination manager and tour operator, and also has a small tourism copy writing business as well as taking some of the proofreading jobs.
